Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) - ranked by the Financial Times in the world's top fifty - has 150 members of academic faculty, including more than 40 professors, covering the full range of management subjects.

  • It is ranked 5th in the UK for research. The Higher Education Funding Council for England marks Lancaster out as a centre of world class research in business and management.
  • 3,498 students attend the school. In 2008/09, there were over 3100 undergraduates including 926 international students.
  • In the latest global ranking of the world's leading full-time MBA programmes, published by the Financial Times in January 2009, the Lancaster MBA is ranked 27th in the world.
  • LUMS has one of the largest and best-supported Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognised doctoral programmes in the UK, with academic research undertaken in all areas of business and management.
