CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATICS (EI)
EI explores the interplay of geographic, environmental, computing and information sciences in the management of data and knowledge. Its role is to deliver information in an authoritative and economic format for research, management and public policy making. Environmental Informatics is a key theme for the Lancaster Environment Centre. It assimilates expertise and technologies and promotes interaction between fields such as environmental monitoring, environmental databases and information systems.
